
Barcode Scanners are similar to the ones that you would see at the check out counter. The technology is different though. The barcodes that you would see on products in the store are perfectly clear vertical lines. As you can see from the image above, barcodes on state driver licenses are more sophisticated. A special format called PDF417 is used for reading driver licenses in North America. They also read passports and military ID's. 2D Barcodes appear on the majority of Driver Licenses in the USA. Some states have both a Barcode and a black Magnetic Strip, similar to the back of a credit card. Our barcode scanners will read both magnetic strip and the barcode.

- AZ - CA - CO - KS - NM - TX - LA - IA - SC - FL - MI - OH
- Will work across Canada where Magnetic Stripe is used.
